The heavy-duty foggers from B&G are used for many applications around the world including building restoration and insect control. They are ideal for most industrial and Jan-San applications because of their compact size, stability, and the 1.5 gal. capacity. The handle and tank are one-piece construction and the unit is rotation-molded for maximum strength. The droplet size available with the 2600 models extends from a power-mist (56 micron droplets) to ULV (20-35 micron droplets). The output and droplet size of these models can be easily selected with the adjustment knob on the nozzle. The 2600 (Flex-A-Lite) has an 36 in. flexible hose for directing the spray to specific sites. Each fogger is individually built and tested for performance. Available at 110V

Flex-A-Lite (2600 model) is a hand-held applicator for ULV and power mist application. At the lowest nozzle settings it is effective for indoor application for controlling mosquitoes and small flies, also for controlling house flies, wasps, and cluster flies in attics. The hose extension permits directing the spray into harborages that contain spiders, silverfish, and bed bugs. As a power mister, it can be used outdoors around building to control spiders, wasps, and earwigs.

Operation of the 2600 fogger is simple, but some procedures should be followed to ensure maximum performance.

  • Don’t over-fill the tank. The 2600 is designed to hold 1.5 gallons or 6 liters, but there are few jobs that require this amount at one time. Add to the tank only the liquid needed in a one-day operation.
  • Before turning on the fogger, close the adjustment knob and set the indicator point to the groove on the nozzle. The adjustment knob should not be tightened, but simply turned to the right until it stops. The base of the adjustment knob can be pushed down and turned until the point aligns with the groove on the nozzle.
  • Place on dry and dust free surface. Dirt and water may enter the powerful motor and cause long-term damage. When carrying and operating the 2600, it must remain upright. Turning it on its sides or ends will damage the motor.
  • A one-quarter turn of the knob does not produce a visible spray from the nozzle, because the droplet are too small for the human eye. At this setting, 96% of the droplets in the spray are less than 50 μm. This spray has a VMD of 32 μm, which is ideal for the control of flies, mosquitoes, and other insects indoors. A two-quarter turn increases the droplet size only slightly to 35 μm.
  • At the full-open setting (4-6 turns) the spray is visible, the droplets are 56 μm. This setting may be optimal for power-misting outdoors and the application of sanitation solution to contaminated surfaces indoors and outdoors.

Daily care of your 2600 fogger involves a few easy steps and will keep your fogger working for many years.

  • When spraying is complete, always turn off the adjustment knob first, then the motor.
  • Empty the tank if the material is not going to be used for 7 days or more. This will prevent liquid insecticides from forming a thick residue in the tank and clogging the siphon tube.
  • Keep the hose attached to the bracket on the tank when not in use. This will prevent the end of the nozzle and the adjustment knob from being damaged during transport.

Routine maintenance of your 2600 fogger should be done monthly, especially if the unit is being used daily or for extended periods.

  • Remove the bottom plate and clean the screen filters. These filters prevent dirt from entering the motor, and ensure a long operational life for the motor.
  • Clean and thoroughly dry the plate and the filter screens before re-installing the bottom plate to the fogger. Do not operate the fogger without the bottom plate.
  • Check the tank for the presence of any residue, and inspect the stainless steel end of the siphon tube for any residue that may clog or prevent liquid from entering.
  • Remove the bottom plate and inspect the motor. Remove any dirt from the motor cavity and from around the center opening of the motor. Inspect for rust on the external motor housing; the presence of rust indicates that the operator has placed the fogger in a wet or damp location for operation, and the motor may be damaged.

Problem: Liquid forms around the base of the Motor housing, around the mounting screws. Solution: The unit may have been placed in a wet location, and water has entered the motor. Operate the unit in a dry location to remove water.

Problem: The unit becomes very warm (hot) during operation. Solution: Remove the motor guard and clean the filter below the motor.

Problem: Motor is erratic or has apparently burned out. Solution: The unit has been operated in dusty or wet locations and the motor has been contaminated. The unit was not properly shut down by turning off at the knob before turning off the motor.
